2001 Martin OM-28V

Vintage Series

$2,900

This 2001 Martin OM-28V is VG++ condition and sounds amazing.  At nearly 25 years old, it was owned and played a lot by a professional recording artist who never gigged it and used it only in the studio.  It also helps that it has a beautiful spruce top with nice silking and tight grain.

Its only flaw is that it had a center seam separation at some point in the past due to low humidity.  The seam closed up with humidification and is now invisible if you're more than 12 inches away.  Even upon close inspection, it is barely visible to the naked eye.

LR Baggs iBeam active pickup system professionally installed.  Strap button installed on the heel cap.  It's not where I would put a strap button, but it works fine and could be easily plugged and concealed if you wanted to move it.

Upgraded Holter pickguard that is a beautiful improvement over what Martin put on these at the factory.

Action at the 12th fret is .091" on the bass side and .070" on the treble.  Saddle is tall and the action could be lowered if desired.  Adjustable truss rod functions as it should and neck has minimal (.004") relief.

Frets are in very good condition with lots of life left in them.

Nitrocellulose lacquer finish is in excellent condition.

Other than the aforementioned center seam separation (which is now fully closed), the guitar is in VG+++ condition and shows minimal wear.  No scratches, dents, dings, or cracks.  All of the binding is tight and secure.  Neck is smooth with negligible evidence of being played.

Smells like a new guitar.

Comes in the original Martin premium hard case, which is in VG+ condition but is missing one latch on the back side.
