This is a 2013 model from the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman Montana.

This is the J35 Fuller’s 1939 Reissue which was custom made to specs selected by Fuller’s Vintage Guitars in Texas.

This example is in excellent used condition with no scratches, dents, dings, cracks or other damage.

The first 4 or 5 frets show light signs of use, but still have plenty of life in them.

No repairs or alterations made (and none needed).

- Thermally aged red spruce (Adirondack) top
- Hide glue construction
- Hand scalloped X bracing
- Solid mahogany back and sides
- Nitrocellulose finish with authentic 1939 sunburst
- Rosewood fretboard and bridge
- Bone nut and saddle
- Bone bridge pins
- 1.75” (45mm) nut width
- 2 1/4” string spacing at the saddle
- 12” radius fretboard
- 25.0” scale length (historically accurate for 1939)
- 19 frets total (also historically accurate)
- Vintage “C” neck profile
- Waverly open gear tuning machines with ivoroid buttons

This guitar had a Trance Amulet pickup system installed, but I removed it because (A) I rarely play plugged in anyway, and (B) I felt like it was dampening the sound and projection.

I was 110% correct. When I removed the pickup system, not only did it make the guitar sound instantly louder and better, but it also made it almost 7 ounces lighter!!  With the preamp, wiring and 9v battery, that pickup system added almost 7 total ounces!!

So now this guitar is much, much closer to that old, dry, “broken-in” sound like the old prewar Gibsons.

Comes in black hard sided Gibson case, although I don’t know if it is the original case it came in. Case is also in excellent condition.

This guitar has a wonderful balanced tone with clear highs, strong mids, and plenty of punch and “growl” in the low notes.

It is currently set up with EJ16 .012 gauge strings in new condition.

Action is low but there is zero buzzing. Bass side E measures .080” at the 12th fret. Treble side E measures .060” at the 12th fret.

Adjustable truss rod works perfectly.
